Fantastika 2016 is the national Swedish science fiction and fantasy convention for 2016 (Swecon). The venue is the same as for Fantastika 2013, but we will use more rooms. There will be a programme that covers science fiction and fantasy in all their forms and with the emphasis on literature. The guests of honour are Maria Turtschaninoff from Finland, Jerry Määttä from Sweden and Carolyn Ives Gilman from Washington D C. The fan guest of honour is Caroline Mullan from UK. The programme will contain items such as author interviews, workshops, panel discussions and presentations.
Families with children are welcome, and there will be a children’s corner in the library where they can draw, make space ships, play games etc. However, we do not babysit children so small children must be accompanied by parents or other grown ups.
The Gopher Mum is Kiel (firstname.lastname@example.org) so if you would like to help us run the convention please send her an e-mail!
